Gradient (SPERMCARE®) Based Sperm Preparation SYSTEM

GRADIENT SYSTEM

• Each SpermCare®/Sperm Wash system contains enough product for 5 determinations.*

• The SpermCare®/Sperm Wash system is designed to reduce the chance of contamination and help eliminate product waste.

• Includes everything needed for sperm preparation except a Centrifuge (See Cat # 3150 (InVitroCare® Clinical Centrifuge).

• Gradient, consisting of silane-coated colloidal silica particles suspended in HEPES-buffered HTF, removes bacteria, epithelial cells, cell debris, immature sperm, and lymphocytes.

• All system components contain glucose as a usable energy substrate to maintain normal cell metabolism and sperm function.

• Aseptically packaged and terminally sterilized.

*Requires a centrifuge capable of operating for 30 minutes at 400g (InVitroCare® Clinical Centrifuge Cat # 3150).

• Speed range 300 to 5000 rpm, up to 2600 x g centrifugation force, brushless motor.

• Rotor capacity 6 x 15ml centrifuge tubes or 6 x 10ml vacutainer tubes (other size adapters included).

• Centrifuge allows either setting speed or g-force and time and has two user-selectable deceleration levels.

• Two preset speed/g-force/time profiles can be stored.

SWIM-UP SYSTEM

• Each Sperm Wash for use in Swim-Up system contains enough product for 5 determinations (product and syringes/needles).*

• The Sperm Wash for use in Swim-Up system is designed to reduce the chance of contamination and help eliminate product waste.

• All system components contain glucose as a usable energy substrate to maintain normal cell metabolism and sperm function.

• Aseptically packaged and terminally sterilized.

Store at 2-8ºC

*Requires a dry bath capable of maintaining a temperature of 37° C for 60 minutes and holding the sperm wash vial at a 45-degree angle (InVitroCare® Mini Digital Dry Bath Cat # 3300).

Used with the InVitroCare® Sperm Wash for use in Swim-Up system (Cat # 2620)

• Modular, fully adjustable Digital Dry Bath.

• Includes the necessary slant block to hold the sperm wash vial at a 45-degree angle.

• Has auto temperature hold and can be used for other applications in the laboratory.
